Maison Marques & Domaines, Inc. is seeking for a motivated Sales Analyst to join our Sales and Business Intelligence Team.
In this role you will be a key contributor in managing MMD sales information systems, extracting and analyzing relevant sales data, and developing new processes and reports to further operational efficiency for the sales force.
This is a full-time, exempt salaried position with benefits located in our New York office.
Analysis & Reporting (50%): ALL Become expert user with VIP IDIG and KARMA, web-based tools used to analyze MMD sales in order to add value to the sales team and gain operating efficiencies
Collect, analyze, evaluate and report sales data through IDIG in order to increase sales productivity
Monitor and audit data outputs to ensure clean and accurate data; lead processes to resolve any data accuracy concerns
Partner with VIP Account Manager to stay current with newest VIP tools and to troubleshoot systems issues
Develop customized reporting to provide upper management and sales managers
Manage goal and incentive tracking
Run monthly reporting for select suppliers
Forecasting (15%):
Manage monthly depletions and reporting process with the Director of Logistics
Assist sales management in preparing yearly sales forecasts
Sales Team Support (15%)
Work with VP and Directors of Sales in developing business review meetings with distributors and suppliers
Create analyses for annual top-to-top summits with distributor partners
Communicate new tools for the sales team during weekly meetings and National Sales Meetings
Assist Sales team in establishing target lists and measuring actual sales performance against pre-set targets
Provides training to new sales team members
Partner with sales managers on troubleshooting VIP or KARMA tools
WineBook Direct Distribution (15%):
WineBook is the specialized Bordeaux division of MMD USA, with a mission to be the leading source of Bordeaux wines of impeccable provenance. WineBook's current portfolio contains more than 400 product references, from petits Chateaux to Grands Crus Classes, with a large selection of vintages and formats.
Work closely with WineBook sales manager to execute full distribution process: monthly price postings, pricing and inventory analysis, purchasing, logistics and sales analysis
Build special offers and target lists for sales team
Create weekly recap of sales and inventory
Oversee monthly catalog creation
Assist with competitive pricing research
Work with Sr. Analyst to complete VIP implementation for WineBook
Miscellaneous (5%):
Liaise with marketing and public relations on sampling and event preparation and organization
Assist in setting up tastings, training sessions for distributors or key account's sales force, and in the reception of suppliers to the NY office
Participate in trade shows and industry events within NY city.
Travel to our national sales meetings (up to 2 weeks per year)
Desired Qualifications
2-3 years of experience with progressing responsibilities
Bachelor's Degree in business, science, engineering or computer sciences preferred
Highly organized and reliable, with meticulous attention to detail
Demonstrated analytical and quantitative skills
Ability to problem solve
Resourcefulness
Self-starter, curious and motivated
Excellent proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint
Knowledge of VBA code for macro creation strongly preferred
Interest in pursuing AI capabilities as it relates to the wine industry
Interest in the wine industry
Should be able to lift up to 30lbs
The position is based in New York and reports to the office Monday-Friday
